Who could ever stop us

I’m investigating an alleged assault, get all my witness statements, evidence etc. However my suspect isn’t on unit and has escaped to Portsmouth with his girlfriend for a few days, when he comes back he hears I’m questioning the events and comes into the Police Station. Where he identifies himself to a colleague, he then sees me and runs away, I chase him down the road yelling at him to stop. Eventually catch him and escort him back to the station where I arrest, caution and tell him he is detained. I don’t have handcuffs so get some off mate, turn around and suspect has done a runner again. Had to run after him again down the road in pouring rain, finally get him and spend the next 10minutes fighting with him to get cuffs on. Then once they’re on he becomes totally compliant and helpful, what a character!
